Settle on MARS in a mixture of game and scientific simulation. Take control over a tiny group of 10 settlers and choose a landing site on the barren Mars. Develop your venture from one single landing module into a thriving settlement with hundreds of specialized buildings and even more inhabitants.

Research & development of new technologies as well as exploration of the Red Planet are key for establishing a permanent presence in this hostile environment.

Ratings and reviews

It's not actually an Mars colony sim. This is more like zombie survival one. There's not chaotic weather or incidents to overcome, planet is still. But incoming waves of mindless colonists will tear your useful population apart again and again, untill you got your own building materials production line to feed this lazy hungry swarm in time. Well, it's nice that critical planning mistakes is possible, unlike in casual sims. Best way to got resources is to send findings of the explorations.

In depth simulation of a Mars Colony. Builds in stages, with capabilities being unlocked after new researches, arrivals or materials. Initially lots of close monitoring to make sure the settlers have all they need, then waiting for construction or research to finish. Becomes more of a resource management sim after a while, but am still checking in daily after over a year.

The game has serious issues due to the atrocious shipment mechanic combined with maintenance demands. You will most often die (or be stuck without anything to do) not due to mismanagement, but simply because shipments seem to be both entirely random and really really miserly.
