About this app

Lay out insulation cladding the way the shop does it: from the insulation's real outside diameter, not the pipe's.

InsuLayout Pro is a layout tool for industrial insulators and tinners. Pick the pipe size, the wall and the material; it gives you the flat pattern, the ordinates and the file for the table.

SIZED BY BORE, NOT PIPE OD
Insulation is ordered as bore × wall. Rigid materials (calcium silicate, cellular glass, perlite) step up one size; soft materials match the pipe; traced lines go oversize. InsuLayout Pro takes the actual outside diameter from the ASTM C585 table and lays the pattern out on that: the difference is over an inch of stretchout on a plain 8" line, and about four on a traced one. Every result shows where the number came from and warns when it had to estimate.

• DXF: one closed cut outline, ordinate lines, drawing units set
• Plasma G-code in inches or millimetres, with safe-Z (set kerf compensation in your CAM or controller)
• Sheet nesting onto 4×8 or 4×10 sheets or 36" / 48" coil, with kerf, rotation, overflow and scrap yield, and whole-sheet cut files
• 3D fitting proof built from the same development as the cut pattern
• Material takeoff: cladding area, pieces of metal, bands and screws
• Full-size paper templates, tiled 1:1 as a PDF
Files go to the share sheet: email them to the shop or save them to a stick.

WORKS WHERE YOU WORK
Layout, patterns and files work with no signal. Only the QuantaClad AI scan needs a connection: the photo goes to QuantaClad AI on Cloudflare, is read once and is not kept. Nothing else needs an account; sign in only if you want to. Imperial and metric.

TinnerAI, the built-in helper, runs on the phone and is rule-based. It does not connect to any AI service.

We never upload your saved jobs. They stay on your phone.

Built by a journeyman insulator. Sizes NPS 1/2" to 36" and DN15 to DN900 (C585 bore table to 22"; larger sizes are laid out geometrically and flagged).
