Burger Chef is a maze-style action game where you control a chef using a four-directional joystick and a pepper button. Your goal is to build burgers while avoiding enemy foods: eggplants, tomatoes, and avocados.
[Objective]
The objective is to complete all burgers in each level. Each level is a maze of floors and ladders, with burger ingredients (buns, cheese, meat, tomatoes, lettuce) scattered throughout. When the chef walks across the full length of an ingredient, it drops to the level below, knocking down any ingredient or enemy in its path. A burger is completed when all its ingredients are stacked vertically onto a plate at the bottom. Complete all burgers to clear the level.
[Enemies and Challenges]
Three types of enemies roam the maze: eggplants, tomatoes, and avocados. You can earn extra points by:
- Crushing enemies under a falling ingredient.
- Dropping an ingredient while an enemy is standing on it. Crushed or dropped enemies respawn in the maze after a short time.
[Pepper Ability]
At the start of the game, you have 5 pepper shots. Pressing the pepper button makes the chef release a pepper cloud in the direction they’re facing, temporarily stunning any enemy it touches. Stunned enemies are safe to pass through.
[Bonus Items]
Every 10 ingredients dropped, bonus items (ice cream, coffee, or French fries) appear in the maze. Collecting these grants bonus points and one additional pepper shot.
[Lives and Game Over]
- You lose a life if the chef touches a non-stunned enemy.
- The game starts with a set number of lives (based on game design). The game ends when all lives are lost.
- Earn an extra life every 20,000 points.
