About this app

Using your phone as a compass can be useful, especially if your phone does not have a built-in magnetic sensor or if you cannot use a traditional magnetic compass. Note: you need to select your hemisphere (North or South) and set your phone's clock for accurate results.

Works! This is a manual compass that utilizes the Sun's shadow for dialing in. At night, you will need a star chart for positioning and user will have more difficulty and chance for error. The main dial has declination adjustment in whole degrees only and for the Northern Hemisphere. The app description page could use much more explanation in how to use. So many 1 ⭐s for bad reasons.

Works, but needs a help file. Most users, unfamiliar with the concept, need to be told how to use the app.
