This book is prepared based on the 2020 Learning Outcomes by paying attention to the phases. This book is prepared based on understanding competencies in creating active, creative, innovative and enjoyable student learning, so that learning Hinduism becomes more enjoyable in order to achieve the expected competencies and create a young generation of Hindus with noble character.

This class 5 book consists of 5 chapters, namely Chapter 1 Values ​​in the Mahābhārata Book, Chapter 2 Elements that Form the Universe, Chapter 3 Chess Asrama in Life, Chapter 4 Pañca Yajña in Everyday Life, and Chapter 5 History of Development Hinduism in Indonesia. Each chapter is equipped with various activities such as observing, reading, asking, arguing, creativity, telling stories, discussions, practicing which aim to encourage and stimulate students to be active.

This book is also equipped with reflections and activities with parents to encourage students to be closer to their parents and receive guidance in implementing Hindu religious teachings in everyday life.

Assessments are given at the end of each chapter to test and measure students' level of mastery of knowledge, using various instruments. The glossary contains explanations of terms used in this book to help students understand the material. This book is also equipped with interesting pictures to motivate and instill an attitude of liking reading (literacy) in students.

Hopefully this book can help students understand and practice Hindu religious teachings in everyday life. Finally, the author opens up constructive criticism and suggestions for the improvement of this book.
