Allah SWT. elevate the status of those who believe and have knowledge with glory in this world and the reward of heaven in the afterlife. Thus, people who believe and have knowledge have a noble position before Allah SWT. This is in line with the goals of national education, namely developing the potential of students to become human beings who believe in and are devoted to God Almighty, have noble character, are healthy, knowledgeable, capable, creative, independent, and become democratic and responsible citizens.

This Class II Islamic Religious and Character Education student book is prepared based on learning outcomes which aims to produce a generation of lifelong Indonesian students (lifelong learners) who have global competencies and behave in accordance with Pancasila values, or can also be called Pancasila Students . Pancasila students who believe, are devoted to God Almighty, and have noble character; independent; critical reasoning; creative; worked together; and global diversity (ra[mat li al-‘n).

This background encouraged the author to prepare this book by presenting active, fun, creative, innovative, critical, communicative and cooperative learning. All of this is not only presented to increase students' knowledge competency, but also to develop attitude and skill competency. The aim is that students can not only understand and experience the learning material, but can also apply it in everyday life.

Therefore, this book is equipped with several activities that direct students to have fun, active learning, including: let's sing, let's clap, my activities, group activities, I have to know, exemplary stories, fun playing while learning, and my comics. Students will also get information about the material more easily and effectively from this book through the concept maps, infographics and summaries that have been presented.

This book is also equipped with pearls of wisdom in each chapter. Some motivations and invitations to students to commit to becoming pious and Pancasila Muslim students are stated in my attitude, my knowledge, my skills, my determination, I am a Muslim child, I am a pious child, and I am a Pancasila student.

Assessments in this book are presented in the middle and at the end of each chapter. Bismillah, I can definitely be an assessment in the middle of a chapter and let's practice being an assessment at the end of each chapter. This assessment is given to measure the extent to which the material can be absorbed and mastered by students, both mastery of aspects of knowledge and skills and instilling attitudes in students.

The author hopes that this book will be useful and can help students understand the teachings of the Islamic religion, experience them directly, and be able to practice them in everyday life.


Hopefully this application can be useful and become a loyal friend in the teaching and learning process at all times.
