About this app

The InSight Platform® is a comprehensive simulation technology that uses augmented reality (AR) layered with tactile and visual feedback to enable students to connect concepts to practice and develop critical decision-making skills.

The InSight Platform’s mobile application allows students, educators, and administrators to add to their experience using two distinct feature sets:

1) InSight Lens allows students to explore the human body on their own personal device and observe critical anatomical structures such as the heart, lungs, and brain at a microscopic level. Students can also connect the InSight Lens to the InSight Platform®, enabling them to follow along with scenarios that are being run in the simulation lab on their individual devices. They can observe change in vitals, the effect of physical interactions, as well as other visual feedback in real-time using the app.

2) The Smart Controller, which is more educator-facing, can be used to add variability to scenarios on the fly by changing vitals, patient attributes, moulage, and a range of other features. The controller runs in sync with the InSight Platform® and provides the flexibility for educators and administrators to drive scenario changes from their own devices.

Any user who has an account with the InSight Platform® automatically has access to the mobile application which is a powerful learning tool for gaining a greater visual understanding of the pathologies of the body.
