tash is a social archive that expands and connects artistic tastes.
Artworks such as films, dramas, music, and books are objects of appreciation and clues to each person's perception of the world.
tash creates a space where tastes are formed through information about works of art, along with records, lists, and archives.
Tastes that are formed extend beyond the individual, connecting and expanding with others.
Expanding tastes occurs through several avenues:
The first is to begin with someone's records and their arrangement.
If you're interested in learning more about someone, you can explore their profile.
The films, music, and books they've recorded reveal the criteria they use to evaluate their work.
By following the records, lists, and archives of individual works, you can uncover the context within which a person's tastes are formed.
The second is to begin with the work or artist.
You can see how others engage with the work you've recorded or archived.
The records and selections of others who have archived the same work or artist naturally reveal areas of your taste that may not have been explored before.
tash consists of four main screens: Home, Upload, Search, and Profile.
1. Home
View posts (records of works) created by other users.
2. Upload
Search for and select works, then post a record of that work.
3. Search
Search for works, artists, lists, and users.
The search page also displays recommendations based on the user's preferences.
4. Profile
This is where users manage their records. It consists of three tabs: Post, List, and Archive.
tash consists of the following main features:
Post:
A post allows users to record a single work.
There are no restrictions on the format, such as comments, notes, or ratings.
Records can be as simple as a short sentence or star rating.
List:
A list allows users to organize multiple works under a single criteria.
Users can organize works by topic or criteria,
and manage lists in their own personalized way.
Archive:
The Archive is a place to save works you want to view later or works and artists you already like.
This is the simplest way to store works and artists on tash.
