This app had everything I needed, as far as working subtitle support, handling screen layout when mirroring to Chromecast, no black bars on the TV, the only I noticed was I had to turn on mirroring in Android (12) config, the app's setting left my screen blank. That wasn't a big deal though, I mean how many different ways do you need!

Shuts itself off. I used to use this daily to play videos, music & podcasts. A recent change appears to have broken it though! It won't even play long enough to get through half of a standard length song! I'm upset because I need to be able to play media for controlling sensory issues & anxiety. If this doesn't get fixed I will have to find a different player to use. For reference: Samsung S21 Galaxy FE 5G

It's the only app that can run on my phone, computers, network, and smart TV via network storage at home.
