NFC Secure Shield is an advanced Android application, designed as a high-integrity Proof of Concept (PoC), integrating four security modules into a single, offline-first suite.
š NFC Sentinel
Monitors the device's NFC field in real time to detect unauthorized interactions with tags or potential skimmers. It uses the Foreground Dispatch System, NDEF parsing, and NFC identification technologies to protect the user from relay attacks and malicious NFC tags.
š Secure Vault
Military-grade encrypted storage for storing sensitive data (passwords, notes, keys). It uses AES-256-GCM encryption with keys managed by the Android Keystore. Every login is protected by biometric authentication (fingerprint or facial recognition) via CryptoObject. No data is ever sent to the cloud: everything remains on the device.

Heuristic and signature-based analysis of installed applications and local files. Detects malicious permission combinations (e.g., SMS + GPS) typical of stalkerware, compares SHA-256 hashes against documented malware families, and monitors root status, ADB debugging, and boot persistence.
š DNS Tunnel with Filtering (Local VPN)
Local VPN service that intercepts network traffic at the packet level to block trackers and malicious domains. It implements a custom parser for IPv4/UDP/DNS packets (RFC 1035), responds with NXDOMAIN to blocked domains, and forwards legitimate traffic to 1.1.1.1 via secure sockets. No external servers: filtering occurs entirely on the device's processor, with zero latency.
āļø Architecture and Technology Stack
The app follows Clean Architecture principles and SOLID patterns to ensure high modularity and testability. The interface is built 100% in Jetpack Compose with a custom, high-contrast "Cyber" theme. Concurrency management uses Kotlin Coroutines & Flow (StateFlow/SharedFlow), dependency injection is handled by Hilt (Dagger), and data persistence is handled by Room and EncryptedSharedPreferences/DataStore. Periodic security checks (every 15 minutes) are performed in the background via WorkManager.
