About this app

PowerMic Mobile requires a configuration URL specific to each customer organization. Please check with your organization’s support team or your reseller for assistance with setup.

PowerMic Mobile turns your smartphone into a secure wireless microphone for use with Windows-based desktop clinical speech recognition solutions. Optimized for use with Dragon Medical One and Dragon Medical Direct. PowerMic Mobile gives clinicians the freedom to roam from workstation-to-workstation, room-to-room, and location-to-location to complete clinical documentation using their smartphone as a wireless microphone at the desktop.

PowerMic Mobile enhances clinician productivity and convenience with support for virtualized EHR deployments, user programmable buttons, and 256-bit encryption with end-to-end security over WiFi or cellular networks. Clinicians can now opt to use PowerMic Mobile as a complimentary input device, or as an alternative, to the PowerMic II/III/IV or other supported handheld or headset microphone.

This app used to work fine for me on One UI 4.1 however I just installed the new One UI 5 upgrade and now I am not able to dictate properly. The app connects to the computer but when I begin to speak into the mic the dictation does not start. I made sure that my mic works as intended. I am certain that the One UI upgrade is the cause as this issue did not occur with previous installments. I think this app is due for another update because now I cannot use it and it is frustrating.

It used to work beautifully. Then I got a new phone and now it just crashes during the set up process and no longer works at all. My company can't get it to work because it isn't on our end. It's when you click the set up link that the program crashes. So now completely unusable and I can't dictate unless I carry a USB mic with me at all times.

After downloading app, I used my email from my work to get the URL I needed. However when I open the URL in the mobile mic app, it closes out before I can proceed typing in my windows log on codes. I called and spoke to the person on the email and he wasn't able to tell me how to fix it. I then went to my Verizon store to see if they could help me ,but they could not get it to work either. I use an Android phone. Very frustrating!
