Secret of the Hidden Room : The Collaborator is a game that you can focus on the story to solve the problems, you will be able to feel the emotions you have like when you read a novel throughout the game. As you become the main character of the game, you will follow the traces to solve various puzzles, and by watching the ending of the game, you will have a lingering feeling after.

The main character Dan is a businessman well known to be a collaborator of the Occupying Nation in the past, but was actually a warm hearted person who helped his friend's family in danger. The story starts in an old church basement where they find Dan's record of the past, and the suspenseful plot continues by traveling through different times and areas.

Ratings and reviews

The puzzles are not too hard but still interesting and the story is lovely. Some puzzles could use a bit more explanation (there are a few that use gestures, which isn't obvious at first). I'd give it five stars if the English translation were a little better and the typos were fixed. If you can overlook that, it's a great short puzzle game.

I usually don't leave reviews but this is the best story I've ever experienced in an escape game. It really drew at my emotions and was a real tearjerker in a couple places. The gameplay was a lot of fun and it wasn't just random clicking of objects. The last couple levels are very hard compared to the beginning but the hints are very helpful if you get stuck.

Unplayable. I've tried to play it dozens of times, but every time I open it, within 5-30 seconds, it closes out. I haven't been able to get any further than opening chapter one and reading 3 or 4 sentences before it closes out, and 90% of the time it doesn't even make it that far. It usually closes on the very first screen, where it's synchronizing/loading. It's really annoying! *Update* I went to the website to detail the error I'm having, but the website is in a different language.
