Handyshopper users, you really should try this one. Like other palm HS users (7+ years), it took some time to find one that is similar, however in terms of overall features and functions, this is just what I need. My priorities were per store prices, multiple lists, and Notes, and this has all of that and more, including aisles, categories (labels for Grocery List) etc. Plus, with the larger/high res screens, you can see multiple store prices on the first screen (vs HS which only displayed the lowest due to the 320/320). Additionally, the owner of the program will convert HS files to Grocery List xml files!!!! Yes, you have to email the files, however I got my files back within a couple of days, and the conversion included everything including notes. I tried to convert with 2-3 other shopping apps, and none worked, so this save me hours of work to re-input all my data. At this moment, the only function that I would suggest be improved (simplified actually) is the price comparison....where HS would simply say "A is cheaper than B by xx%", GL does some additional math. Interesting for some, however but overly complicated for me. Overall, great app!.
Perseverance payed off! Just stumbled onto this after spending countless hours downloading and testing shopping apps. I haven't used it enough yet to write a meaningful review, but just based on the interface design alone, I'm giving it the full banana, right out of the chute. What a pleasure to use! Don't get me wrong - this is not a "minimalist" app it's easy to use but it does EVERYTHING. Unlimited stores, and fully configurable Isles, prices, shopping cart etc PER STORE! Global labels. Awesome.
Looking for a flexible and easy hit the ground running app -just started using this app and very impressed and grateful! Thank you for all your hard work and attention to detail. Will update as learn more. Thanks, again!
Review Update. Still the best. This is one of my favorite apps and I've used it for about a year with three lists covering 15 different stores. The unit cost calculator along with the unit cost shown in the item record gives you unit price knowledge across brands and package sizes. Saves me money on most shopping trips. One item I buy has 5 package sizes and every time I go to buy it, a different package size has the lowest unit cost but it's rarely the largest as we used to expect.
Still satisfied I've been using this app for a long time. The single most valuable aspect of this app is the ability to set 2 separate tax rates. The 1st tax rate is automatically applied to all items. But whenever you create or edit an item, you have the option of ticking a check box which tells the app to apply the 2nd tax rate instead. I haven't found this feature in such an easy to use format in any other grocery shopping app. I really wish the Dev would put this on iTunes so I can use it on my iPad.
Love it. I have downloaded and tried over a dozen grocery list apps. This one is by far the best. My quest to find the perfect one for me is finally over after years of searching. I have one questions though. I cant get my phone and my tablet to sync with each other for this app so my lists are the same. Can you please help me?
