Welcome to The Lettervan!

The Lettervan is a game designed for children in the early stages of literacy. Its goal is to entertainingly illustrate the link between speech sounds and words, thus helping children crack the reading code.

- The Lettervan is a full version game - No subscriptions, no ads, and no payments within the app.

- Players read, spell and listen to phonemes in order to navigate past thorny vines, ominous clouds, and hungry monsters!​

- The Lettervan supports both British and American English, and all words are spelled phonetically, which is perfect for those who have just begun learning to read and write.

The app has been developed in collaboration with speech-language therapists, aiming to help children recognize that words consist of speech sounds. The ability to determine which sounds are present in a word is linked to skills in pronunciation, reading, and spelling.

Unlike many other educational apps, there is no voice commenting on the child's performance in The Lettervan. Instead, the focus is on the cute animals striving to reach the end of the levels to discover new words!

Please note:
Listening carefully to phonemes can be a challenging task for children who are just beginning to learn how to read and write. It is advisable to take breaks from the game if the child is randomly placing letters without paying attention to their sounds.
