a. Root of the Problem
The starting point of the problem is that in our time pilgrims no longer come by land but by air. And the flight path did not pass through the miqat that the Prophet Muhammad used to mention.
What becomes the point of discussion then what is the miqat? Does it follow imaginary lines that connect one miqat point to another miqat point? Or was it in Jeddah that Rasulullah SAW never mentioned explicitly.
b. Differences of Opinion of Scholars
What is interesting in this discussion, it turns out that the differences that emerged are quite tight, where the two opinions between those who allow miqat in Jeddah and those who do not, both have strong arguments, besides being supported by the authority of the clergy recognized by Muslims.
