Brick Gigil is a brick breaker with a hand-painted look, moving bricks, and weird little boss creatures that like to mess with you.
You control the paddle, launch the Gigil (the ball), and try to clear the screen. Simple idea, but things get interesting pretty fast.
Hand-painted, not plastic
Brick Gigil doesn’t try to look “perfectly digital”.
The art is meant to feel a bit like a small painting:
- Soft, brushy textures
- Warm colors
- Levels that look like someone actually drew them
It’s still a classic arcade game, just with a more personal, handmade feel.
Bosses that drop bonuses
Some levels include boss-like creatures made of bricks.
When you hit them, they can drop bonuses that:
- Make the Gigil (ball) faster or slower.
- Make your paddle bigger or smaller.
- Add little twists to how the paddle or level behaves.
Sometimes those bonuses help, sometimes they just make things more chaotic, but they always keep you awake.
Moving bricks and changing layouts
Not all bricks just sit there and wait:
- Some bricks slide or shift around.
- Layouts can change while you’re playing.
- You have to think about angles, timing, and where the ball will bounce next.
It’s still easy to understand, but there’s enough movement to keep it from feeling repetitive.
Easy to pick up, fun to chase “one more try”
Brick Gigil is designed for quick sessions:
- Simple one-finger controls
- Short levels you can finish in a couple of minutes.
- Enough challenge to make you say “ok, one more try” more than once
Good for a quick break, a commute, or when you just want to zone out and break stuff.
For anyone who likes old-school games
There’s no story you have to follow, no heavy systems to learn:
- Suitable for all ages
- No violence, just bouncing a ball and breaking bricks.
- Relaxing enough, but still satisfying when you find a good angle.
If you grew up with arcade games or just like simple, focused gameplay, Brick Gigil is made for you.
