Become a WWI General, commanding your army across the historic battlefield of the Western Front and Eastern Front. Engage in immersive real-time strategy (RTS) and shape the course of history, from the opening action of 1914 to the brutal trench warfare of 1917 and the final offensives of 1918. In this theater of total war you will get to play as the general for every major nation that participated in WW1, both the Allies and the Central Powers.

Engage in intense frontline combat and action, deploying a variety of military units, including infantry, tanks, and powerful artillery. Lead your troops through legendary battles such as the Somme, Verdun, and Gallipoli, and fight for victory in a relentless contest for strategic supremacy. This isn't just a WW1 experience. The sandbox mode allows for custom battles of any era. Design your own RTS battles, build fortifications such as bunkers, place artillery cannons and set up your defenses for survival. You decide how major you want the fight to be, spawn more than a 1000 soldiers fighting each other. Recreate famous moments from WW2 (WWII), including the pivotal D Day (1944) landings and command your armies on the beaches of Normandy. Imagine bringing a WW2 Tank to a Napoleonic era battle! Or even modern soldiers from a hypothetical WW3 scenario. Switch between 1917 and 1945, or equip your troops with uniforms from any era.

Reminds me of old flash games I used to play. Never encountered ads while playing, except for the main menu asking to buy microtransactions, but that's not what I meant. lol Game winnable even on hard without the use ads or money, didn't feel like it was designed to make it impossible, the ads would just make the level easier if you get stuck. Sandbox while most things are under a paywall it still has enough. Would have liked tactics system, so I could do bayonet, creeping barrage, foxholes, etc

I will say there is a dozen games like this one but this is the best of it's kind. The unit diversity between all the nations is great, the missions are fun enough and you can definitely play this as a quick time waster. The only issue I have id some nations have some kinda badly balanced artillery (U.K) or specialists (Italy) but it's livable.

I remember when it was the original version of the game, and even then, it was amazing. This is a fantastic game, makes you think and to use strategy, and manage your resources and units. The only thing that needs to be improved is the addition of the waves mode from the old game and the online maps made by other people into this version. Other than that, this game is a masterpiece and keep up the good work SimpleBit.
