It's enough to stop boredom when you are stuck in a waiting room, but the repetitiveness is a problem. I wish I felt like I was playing different levels, but the options really amount to ten or so rooms attached to each other with mostly the same enemies. At least the bosses are fun, but the reward for beating them is pitiful compared to the levels themselves.

Although it doesn't seem to mention it in the about info for the game, this is ALMOST fully controller supported. 4 ⭐ for that. The only thing you can't do is open the inventory and navigate it. Please do add the start button function for our inventory. The D-pad is also not functional and you are only able to move with the joystick, which isn't a bad thing becuase of the way the movement is. Graphics are great for us retro RPG fans. Attack animations are a little cheesey, but that's alright.

Five stars because it is what it is. An easy, relatively relaxed game, with an ending. Too hard? Getting a few levels/ get gear. Too easy? Charge on with a below level character. Honestly, great game for an 8 bit style retro. Controls are decent enough to play. I rarely used dodge, but it's there. Each special skill has a unique range and effect. Item / charm descriptions are a bit lacking, but otherwise can be seen on the character screen. It's free.
