About this game

Dreamscape, powered by Shoelace Learning, combines the strategy and engagement of popular base-building games with imaginative reading passages and interactive questions to create a fun skill comprehension game! Players of Dreamscape are dropped into the realm of dreams and are tasked with defending their “dwell” (the place where their own dreams live and are created) from invading “reveries” (dream creatures). In order to collect resources and build new structures to defend their dwell, players must read passages and answer comprehension questions. The goal of the game is to build your dwell to higher and higher levels, create new reveries of your own, and collect shards to climb up the leaderboard and face-off against other players!

Update to 5 stars: worked with the developer to solve a problem. They were very responsive and patient. We will continue to play! * * My son loves this game and plays everyday! But... after the update, all the upgrades were gone! Like all the characters reset to level 1. Some were in level 40s. Super frustrated!

This game hits! It's great for kids who want to get better at reading. It's like an educational version of Clash of Clans. It's very lengthy and has a 60 dollar pass that makes it even better. The only thing is that it gets glitch in some parts and can get unfair sometimes. So minus 1 star. But I would recommend this game, it's very fun, encouraging, and very lengthy.

Do NOT buy their premium membership. It's nearly impossible to cancel. They will charge your card then tell you "per their terms of service" they won't issue a refund. Next year rolls around, they will charge you AGAIN and give you the same excuse to not issue a refund. I'm on Year 3 trying to cancel this membership. Buyer beware! Edit: I initially canceled via their phone customer service years ago. After much back and forth, they confirmed they were planning on canceling my membership....
