Are you ready for the ultimate team-based deduction game? EL BERGAG (The Spy) is the perfect game for gatherings with friends and family. Play together, throw out clever clues, and try to uncover the spy's identity before they discover the secret!
🔥 How to Play The Spy Game?
Setup and Roles: Players choose the game time and the number of spies. The phone is passed around, and each player finds their turn: either "Normal" and knows the secret (the word), or "Spy" and knows nothing except that they must pretend to know.
🕵️♂️ Stage One: The Word Cycle and Deduction (El BERGAG)
In this stage, the investigation begins with indirect clues, the pinnacle of intelligence and excitement in the game:
The Word Cycle Begins: Players look at their turn order. The player whose turn it is chooses one word to describe the secret.
The Rule of the Clever Word: Choose your word very cleverly!
The word must be close enough to the secret for ordinary players to prove they know it and be cleared of suspicion.
The word must be far enough away so the spy cannot easily deduce the secret.
The Spy's Role: They must observe every word spoken and infer the likely secret, then choose a misleading word that seems logical.
Discussion and Voting: After two rounds (i.e., after each player has spoken two words), a free discussion session begins to determine the suspected spy. A vote is taken, and the player with the most accusations is forced to remain silent, regardless of whether they are the spy or innocent.
🔎 Tiebreaker: Clever Direct Questions (in case of a tie)
If the players cannot identify the spy, and suspicion remains between two or three suspects:
Clever Direct Questions: Ordinary players are allowed to initiate the Clever Direct Questions phase with these suspects only. The Role of the Accused: The accused must answer cleverly to avoid conviction.
The Goal: This is the last chance for ordinary players to expose the spy, or for the spy to remain hidden and succeed in their mission!
The End and the Revelation: The voting process continues, revealing the remaining spies (if there is more than one). At the end, the voting results are announced:
Did the players succeed in exposing the spy?
Or did the spy outsmart you and successfully deceive and reveal the secret?
