The German Framework Road, launched in 1990, now extends from the mouth of the Elbe to Lake Constance, is divided into regional lines, touching six federal states (Lower Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, Hesse, Thuringia, Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg).
