ShakeSynth: Make Music with Every Shake

Turn your phone into an instrument. No lessons, no keyboards, no complicated interfaces, just shake, and hear music happen. ShakeSynth listens to how you move and translates every shake into a note, always staying within a pentatonic scale (the same scale used in folk, blues, rock, and pop music worldwide). The result? Every shake sounds melodic. There are no wrong notes.

Play Your Way
Pick from a range of MIDI instruments - grand piano, steel guitar, violin, synthesizer, pad sounds, drums, and many more! Set your tempo anywhere from 60 to 180 BPM. Choose Major Pentatonic for a bright, uplifting feel, Minor Pentatonic for something moodier, or let ShakeSynth pick notes at random. Every combination sounds musical, because the scale does the hard work for you.

Conductor Mode
Want to make something familiar? Switch into Conductor Mode and ShakeSynth will guide you through iconic melodies (Beethoven's 9th, Für Elise, Ride of the Valkyries) Each shake advances the next note in the sequence, and you can conduct the rhythm. It's part game, part performance, and surprisingly satisfying.

Two Zones, Twice the Expression
The screen is split into two interactive zones, each with its own effect assignment (modulation, reverb, chorus, octave shift, sustain). Hold in a zone to activate the effect while you play. Layer sounds, shift octaves mid-performance to add texture. The more you explore, the more expressive it gets.

Record and Play Back
Capture your performances with the built-in recorder. Hit record, shake away, then play it back. It's a great way to hear what you actually created - and sometimes be genuinely surprised.
