About this app

The ‘Walk in Nowon’ app was designed to enhance Nowon-gu’s brand strategy based on the publication ‘Walk in Nowon’, a humanities and cultural content of the Nowon Cultural Foundation.
It is based on storytelling of ‘humanities and cultural contents’ that can increase attachment to Nowon’s place and region. Using digital content technology, we applied 360VR and GPS-based MR technology to match local cultural content with Nowon’s ‘history,’ ‘culture,’ and ‘emotion’ to provide new experiences to existing content.
Maximize your humanities experience by installing the ‘Walk in Nowon’ app and visiting related places in Nowon-gu, or by experiencing digital content with books without having to visit them in person. Local content can add value to specific places and develop into sustainable local digital content.
The app development was conducted by Professor Lee Sang-hwa (head of content planning), Professor Cheol-seung Lee (head of content development), and Professor Hyo-young Shim (head of UX/UI design) at the Department of Game & VR Content Design at Induk University.
