Welded Steel Tanks, is an Application for Design and Calculation
Fixed Cone Roof Welded Tanks for Oil and Derivatives Storage, according
to API-650 Standard and other Applicable Standards.
It is Important to Remember that the Objective is to Support and Facilitate
the Design and Calculation. Not exempting from consulting the Technical Standard.
The Application performs the calculations described below:
1. Calculation Shell.
1.1 Thickness for Fixed Design Point Method.
1.2 Thickness for Variable Design Point Method.
1.3 Thickness for Appendix A Method (API-650), for small diameter Tanks.
1.4 Show the Usual and Calculated thickness,
Course Weight and must be Shaping.
1.5 Indicates which method should be adopted.
1.6 Shows the Weight of each Course and the Weight and Total Shell Area.
1.7 Show Top Angle weight.
1.8 Show Minimum Top Angle Size and type description usual Beams.
2. Calculation Bottom.
2.1 Guides, the Bottom Layout should be Designed with Annular Plates.
2.2 Thickness for Rectangular, Sketch and Annular Plates.
2.3 Annular Plate width.
2.4 Minimum width Annular Plate.
2.5 Tank Bottom Weight.
3. Calculation Supported Cone Roof.
3.1 Polygons number for the Support Structure.
3.2 Rafter, Girder and Column number.
3.3 Rafter, Girder and Column weight.
3.4 Total weight of the roof support structure.
3.5 Rafter and Girder length.
3.6 Radius of regular inscribed Polygon.
3.7 Rafter, Girder and Column type description usual Beams.
3.8 You can choose between: AISC, Euro Code and British Structural Shape.
3.9 Show Maximum Deflection.
3.10 Show Beams subjected to shear and buckling fail.
4. Openings and Appurtenances.
4.1 Recommendation number and Size for Shell Manholes,
Clean-out Door, Flush-Type, Roof Manholes,
Draw off Sump and Fire Foam Chamber.
4.2 Indicates Foam Chamber Orifice Plate depending on pressure.
4.3 Indicates Normal Venting Capacity Required.
4.5 Contains Query Data and Genera Information for All Nozzles type.

5.1 Calculation Weight Weld-Consumables for Shell, Bottom and Roof.
5.2 You can choose between Welding Processes to do the Calculation.
6. It is possible to calculate the Evaporation Loss Estimation.
7. Calculation Cost Estimate Preliminary.
7.1 The values below are obtained through an algorithm,
based on real data, it is a Global Price Reference in [US$].
8. Specify Information and Generate the Data Sheet to Save, Print or Share.
