Lexiland is a tool that allows you to identify reading risk in boys and girls of preschool age in video game format. Through a battery of tasks that evaluate pre-reading skills, Lexiland helps identify future reading difficulties in a playful, systematic, and automated way. We are motivated by the possibility of guaranteeing early opportunities for preventive stimulation for all boys and girls. The Lexiland project was born in the Faculty of Psychology and the Interdisciplinary Center on Cognition for Teaching and Learning (CICEA) of the University of the Republic in collaboration with the Basque Center on Cognition Brain and Language (BCBL, Basque Country). Our research focuses on understanding the cognitive and neural bases of learning to read in Spanish and its implications for educational practices.
