I also used the driving tour app. Both worked well! Subtracting a star for lack of clarity on subscription options: Globetrotter-access to all locations, ($29.99/mo); Excursionist-access to one location ($11.99/mo). There is an (*) next to the Excursionist option stating, "Driving tours not included." which implies that a subscription to Globetrotter includes the Driving Tour, which is a good deal, so I subscribed. It isn't included. There should be an asterisk next to both options.

I used this app as my guide for the road to Hana and it was a fantastic experience - absolutely worth the money. The location-based narration worked perfectly during the drive. It helped me find stops along the way I would otherwise have driven right by. One important usability issue: you aren't prompted to download the offline tour until tapping "Start Tour". I did this when on the road without good cell service. Fortunately I found free wifi at a juice stand!

we have used this app for three islands and it has always been perfect, from the suggestions, to the prices indicated, everything. Be aware, most people who criticize the app in the reviews probably don't use it the way it should be used. It is quite simple: subscribe and then download the content so you have it offline. When you are somewhere with poor connection, turn off the wifi and the mobile data, everything. That way the app doesn't try to use the online content and it will work perfectly
