Arena Quest is a virtual navigation application developed for spatial learning research at Montclair State University.
Participants navigate a virtual arena and complete a series of tasks across different experimental conditions and trials. Depending on the selected condition, participants may be asked to locate targets, remember locations, navigate using visual cues, or recreate spatial arrangements.
Arena Quest supports multiple input methods and has been designed for use across computer and touchscreen devices. The application includes guided instructions and accessibility-focused controls to assist participants in completing each research task.
During research sessions, Arena Quest records task-related information, such as participant IDs entered by researchers, trial information, navigation coordinates, task performance, and other experimental measurements required for research analysis.
Arena Quest is intended for supervised research use and is not a commercial entertainment game, medical device, diagnostic tool, or treatment application.
