About this app

The small room in our house is a storage room.

It has been locked since I was a child, and I have never seen a key.

On the day we moved last month, that room opened for the first time.

Mom stopped carrying boxes and sent me out the front door.

Did you find what was strange?

If you couldn't find it, two hints are prepared.

This is "Stories Scary Once You Understand Them." A mystery-style horror ghost story app where you read a short original text, find clues, and decipher the hidden truth. It contains original stories rewritten with a Korean setting, based on the "Imui" format that originated in Japan.

■ How to Read

· Read the original text. It is short, ordinary, and has something off about it.

· If you don't understand, open the hint. It is divided into two stages, and the answer is not revealed.

· If you think you have figured it out, declare it and compare it with the interpretation.

There are three possible outcomes. If you guess correctly without a hint, it is "Complete Insight"; if you guess correctly using a hint, it is "Insight"; and if you cannot solve it in the end, it is "Labyrinth."

■ No Ghosts Appear

The scary ones are always people. The settings are all familiar places: the apartment upstairs, a crowded subway, a maternal grandparents' house in the countryside, an elementary school playground, or the front door of the house next door. The reason it is truly scary after reading is that these are stories that could happen in places you passed through just yesterday.

■ Starts with 50 stories, five pages each

All of these are original creations written by the author. They are not translations or stories found on the internet. You will not find any endings you have seen elsewhere. New pages will be continuously added.

In every story, clues are arranged so that only one natural explanation holds true, and the information necessary for interpretation is always found within the original text. I have ensured that you will not feel disappointed after finishing the book, thinking, "That story wasn't mentioned anywhere."

■ Features

· Today's Story - One story per day; a new envelope arrives at midnight.

· My Statement - Write your own deduction in a single line before viewing the interpretation, and compare it side-by-side with the correct answer later.

· Technique Encyclopedia - 19 types of techniques used in the stories. Techniques from each chapter whose interpretation is checked unlock one by one.

· Share Card - Create and send a record-style image of a story you like.

· My Record - Records your deduction rate and consecutive reading days.

■ For Those Who

· Those who enjoy short scary stories, horror tales, and late-night ghost stories

· Those who love plot twists and goosebumps that are turned upside down in the very last line

· Those who prefer a spine-chilling feeling after reading rather than gruesome scenes

· Those who enjoy solving deduction quizzes or mystery puzzles

· Those looking for something short to read during their commute or before falling asleep

■ Notice

All stories are free, and there are no in-app purchases. The stories are stored on your device, so you can read them without an internet connection.

We won't startle you with loud noises. You will simply quietly realize it in the last line.
