The app does have some nice features but on the flip side of that token I believe the cons outweigh the pros on this. It seems like any kind of movie or show app (Netflix, HBO max, exc) can not be casted. Every single one of those apps as soon as it goes to play the movie it says that the live caption has been disabled by the app. I mean the whole purpose of casting in my opinion would be to watch a god damn movie or show. Definitely needs to be fixed

Dear Danny, Thank you for your review. Please be informed that many video streaming platforms have digital copyright restrictions. Thus, these platforms do not allow their content to be casted onto another screen. Please let us know if we can be of any further assistance to you.
Extremely buggy. Horrible experience. I've had issues with this software from the gate. After multiple attempts I might get it to work, but for the most part, I'm not able to use my Pioneer head unit. Most of the time it says: disconnected please connect to a compatible weblink unit. I have to uninstall and reinstall it multiple times, reboot the head unit and phone multiple times until it finally works. Unacceptable! Needs to be fixed asap! Extremely frustrating!

The app runs constantly in the background and will drain battery within hours unless it's forced to stop and my phone restarted. In a 4 hour period, my phone went from 86% to 19% battery with extremely limited use.The excessive battery use is confirmed using the battery information tab in the settings on your phone. If i don't run the app at all, my battery easily lasts all day even with moderate to heavy use. i can determine whether it's running or not by how hot my phone gets in my pocket after it's disconnected from my car. Attempting to close it in the app tray does nothing. It will continue to run, consume data and drain your battery until you manually force it to stop. For those on a limited data plan, this can be extremely problematic and expensive if you aren't careful. This app is extremely resource intensive so those with lower spec devices will likely have issues with performance. I have a LG V30, which is a reasonably powerful phone. and while it's now a couple generations old, i have no performance issues. however, Youtube playback through my head unit is extremely choppy even with no other apps running, and full bars of 4G-LTE during off-peak hours. as a comparison, Android Auto functions perfectly. and while it's not capable of video playback, it has compatibility with more apps, and i have no issues running any of them. Weblink needs to be optimized badly, or even completely reworked for more efficient use of data, and greater control over background processes. it feels borderline predatory with how hard it makes your device work - even when you aren't using it.
