Abecedo is a flashcard app for learning the world's alphabets and other things worth memorising: letters, flags, dates, multiplication tables, technical vocabulary.
How it works
Pick a deck, then a study mode:
- Learn: go through the cards one by one, flip each one to see the answer and mark whether you got it right.
- Spaced repetition (Leitner method): the app brings each card back at the right time. Hard cards come back often, mastered cards come back less and less.
- Quiz: one question, four choices, 60 seconds on the clock.
- Pronunciation: listen to the text-to-speech model, then say the word yourself. Speech recognition compares your answer to the model.
- Multiple choice: for decks that carry their own answer choices, with an explanation for each answer.
