About Right is a daily practice app for the maths of shopping, money and running a life.
Ten minutes a day. Twelve questions. The set is the same shape every day and you can see the whole of it from the first screen, so the end is always in sight.
WHAT IT IS FOR
Two problems, both common and both usually missed.
The first is that concepts do not stick. A skill that was solid on Tuesday is gone by the following month, and practising it harder on Tuesday does not fix that.
The second is that maths which works on paper does not arrive in the shop. Someone can work out 100 minus 87 at a table and still not work out their change at a counter.
About Right is built for both. Skills come back on a spacing schedule — after a day, three days, a week, a fortnight, five weeks — each time in a setting you have not seen it in. And the questions are about real things: shelf labels, change from a note, whether a bill is more than last month, whether the money in your pocket is enough.
WHAT IS DELIBERATELY NOT IN IT
No timers or countdowns. No scores. No leaderboards and nobody to be compared with. No streak that can be broken. No progress that can be taken away. No ads, no tracking, and nothing at all designed to keep you in the app longer.
Getting something wrong is quiet. There is no buzzer, no red flash and no shake. "I'm not sure" is a button on every question and is never counted against you.
FOR WHOEVER SETS IT UP
A one-minute weekly view shows two numbers side by side: how much is coming out right now, and how much is still there weeks later. They are never averaged into one, because the gap between them is the thing worth knowing.
You can export the whole record, or delete it, from inside the app.
PRIVACY
There is no account. Nothing leaves the device — a full daily session works in aeroplane mode. No analytics, no advertising identifiers, no third-party SDKs.
Everyday maths that sticks: shopping, money and bills, ten minutes a day.
