About this app

Intermittent car concerns are hard to describe after the moment has passed. DriveBrief helps you record what you noticed while parked, group repeat occurrences, and bring an organized fact-only summary to a repair shop.

Keep one thread for each concern
Start with your own words, then add each occurrence to the same timeline. Record the time, odometer, what the car was doing, relevant conditions, repeatability, and an optional note.

Prepare a clearer shop conversation
DriveBrief turns only the facts you entered into a structured shop-visit brief. Review the summary, add questions, and share it through the Android chooser. The App does not diagnose faults or recommend repairs, parts, prices, or urgency.

Close the loop after a visit
Save what the shop told you and the wording listed on an invoice. Then record whether the concern has not been noticed, is still present, feels different, or needs more driving before you decide. Earlier occurrences remain connected to the same history.

Use your own vehicle details
Add a nickname, make, model, year, and optional identifier. A VIN is never required, so classic, imported, custom, and everyday vehicles can all be organized manually.

Local and portable by design
No account or sign-in is required. DriveBrief has no advertising, analytics, cloud backend, or automatic upload. App records stay in local app-private storage unless you deliberately share a brief or export a backup file. Versioned export and import give you an explicit way to move your records.

DriveBrief is an owner observation notebook, not a diagnostic, repair, legal, insurance, or roadworthiness service.
