Acapela TTS allows you to buy and install our high quality voices and integrate them in your Android Device to use them with the system or any TTS compatible applications (such Accessibility application, some GPS Applications, Translator applications, ebook reader, news reader ...)

The application is free, so you can try all of our voices in an online mode, but then you need to buy at least one voice within the application to be able to use the voices (offline) with TTS compatible application (In-app Billing - EUR 3.99/voices et EUR 11.99/kids Premium voices)

Since the latest Google applications update most of the Google applications (maps for example) don't care anymore about the TTS settings and use only their own Google TTS voices.
So please note that for the moment we cannot guarantee compatibility for these applications as this is a unilateral decision from Google.

Reinstalling all voices on a new phone was automatic. Worked very well contrary to some other competitors. Good choice of voices too. They could only rework the UI to make it more modern and ergonomic, but since this is a TTS engine to be used by other apps in Android, you see those screens once, and then never again. I use it together with eReader Perstigio to read books, and it's great.

Disappointeding purchase. Just bought a voice. Transaction shows on bank account. But no voice to download. Server not updated. It will allow repurchase though. Extremely annoying.. - - - This is an update to my complaint. It seems it takes the system some time to process the purchase. Takes a day or so for the voice to activate and show in the download list. I did send an email and got a reply (after a few days) . Thank you. 2 stars for transaction. 3 stars for support. 5 stars for the voice!

The app used to work for me. I redownloaded it and purchased another voice, now whenever I close the app it makes me redownload all of the voices I've purchased, every single time. Not sure what happened, but this makes the app essentially unusable. So if I download voices, they appear in my files. Once I close the app, the files are still there. When I reopen the app and it says it's 'connecting to server', that's when the voice files delete.
