About this app

Accessible Player is an audio (and video) player specifically designed for people with visual impairments. Its user interface is customizable (font size, colors, which buttons to show or hide). Each button can be configured to activate only after a double-click; the first click plays the button’s label. The app also includes an “Audio Camera” feature that analyzes the visual environment using the video camera, recognizes approximately 400 different objects, and informs the user of the dominant colors in the scene, along with their percentage. There is also an “Audio Text” feature capable of recognizing text and reading it aloud. Finally, the “Motion Alarm” feature can trigger an alarm if someone moves the device. The app can also be controlled by voice (‘Play’ and “Pause” commands).

What’s new

Accessible Player version 24.0

Compared to v23.0, the only things which have changed are:
- the random mode
- the management of the audio waveform

Nothing has changed concerning the notifications. And as shown on video uploaded to Google Play Console, a notification appears only when the user decides to copy a file (from a network machine to the local device, in the example of the uploaded video).
