love the app however gps tracking needs lots of improvement. this phone's gps accurate to 2 meters yet my position on map has up to a 20 mile error. this gets fixed 5 star for sure. all in all great weather app. Edit.. Have just come back to android from windows phone after some years and gps quirks seem to have been fixed. At least on my S5. Raised to 5 stars as promised. Will be paying to remove ads.

Whats with all the notifications?!? Why the heck does this app feel it has to notify me 3 times a day on the same weather alert?!? This app will make my phone ring 3 times a day just to tell me theres a storm coming. Jeeez one notification is good enough. Now im getting notifications for dum random unwanted things. My God! Enough with the notification spam! It never used to be this bad.

Best weather app in my opinion! And I tested dozens of them... It displays everything you need: temperature and precipitation graphically hourly or daily. It has maps Wind, humidity, when it is going to snow/rain and for how long, etc. It also provides weather alerts. A couple of suggestions though: Every time I open the app I have to do an extra click to find my current location... the default location settings for the app should be the current location (GPS -find me) rather than the first location from my location list. Another suggestion is to display on the graph (hourly) the amount of precipitation expected in addition to the probability.

Location issue In general it is not bad, but the previous versions used to be much better. Why is it not possible to add and find locations in South Africa without actually having to be there? Whenever I do searches, only places in the USA appears and there is no way for me to see different locations within my country in advance before traveling there. Hence no planning possible. Please bring back the better old features.

Favorite weather app I'm not sure if it's just the comfort of familiarity, or if it truly is the best. See, I've been behind the times with getting the most current technology. Up until about 3 or 4 years ago, I was still texting "weather" to Google. Yes, they did have a text a subject" for awhile. When I finally got a smart phone, accuweather was preloaded. I really like the Real Feel and allergen counts. However, a, major downside is the absence of a true live radar. Still the best weather app of the few I've tried.

Finally a transparent widget! First off AccuWeather is the most reliable weather app hands down. I trust it more than google and that's saying something. The I it reason I ever hesitated using this app was the lack of being able to make the widget transparent. I love customization and FINALLY I have found it with my favorite weather app. The warning alerts are helpful along with the very accurate predictions on when precipitation is going to start or stop. Delete your other weather app and get this one. It's worth it.

It was better yesterday. I liked it much better yesterday. Today it now shows me less information on my screen than it did yesterday. I don't think it makes very good use of the available screen space. When my current location is one of my favorites it shows as if it were two separate locations on the screen which means I can only show a couple other locations on my screen. If somebody that can do anything about it is watching this please only list my current location once if it is one of my favorite locations.
WHY ? I paid $3 for the upgrade but it will not transfer to my new phone. The adds are back. Or I would give it a 5. Meanwhile, Accuracy usually good. Temp graph good But precipitation Line graph would be better. But the strange thing is, that forecasts for the next 120 minutes often do not agree with the hourly forecast, for the next two hours, or daily. Minute cast is so fun.

Hi Kayla, We do plan on adding graphs in a future update. Thank you! Must have. Don't waste your time, or risk getting wrong info with other weather apps. This one is a must have. It will tell you everything you need to know. From which direction the wind is coming from, to which days are best for fishing. You don't need to enter where you're at, just turn in your location and the app will do the rest. Saves a lot of time. I've tried many other weather apps, including the (weather channel.) This one is the easiest to use, and the most accurate. Plus you can customize it your needs.
Unfortunate updates. Unfortunately Accuweather has stopped working. Twice in using the app two times since updating? Videos don't load (which I guess is an update as before they would not even show up). 5 stars when installed over a year ago, now down to 2. One more update and I may have to find a better app. or just look out the window which seems more reliable.

-AccuWeather Team 3/8/17 I'm writing and rating again because somebody changed what I want in my graphics. I had it yesterday and before, so I know it's very possible. I want, please, please, please WHITE LETTERS ON BLACK BACKGROUND!!! Please change it back again and then LEAVE IT ALONE!!! Thank you again. -- rob sandell i want, as i had yesterday, white graphics on black background --- thank you I thank you for reinstalling my graphics preferences. NOW I'm extremely happy with AccuWeather .
New app satisfaction Not satisfied. Prefer the bar graph for daily temperatures on futurecast. The futurecast for upcoming days have lost the day and date indication on each day. Thurs morning checked weather for that day and next. No indicator what the next day was present. Sat was indicated but not Fri. Seems a no brainer but if you are distracted and return, not sure which day you are referencing.
Replaced BBC weather app The BBC moved away from using The Met Office so time to choose something else, and AccuWeather seems to do the job. I really like the hyper-local forecasting, like Dark Sky but not as heavyweight. On screen widget gives fair amount of information for its size. One request; can the developers make sunrise and sunset times more prominent or quicker/easier to find please! Early days for me but all good so far.
Missing what I used to have Updated.. I found the information and it's my fault. App works great. I do miss some of the old app...... old info o. Review was incorrect.......old review: Used to have bigger picture or widget on my phone. Would give quick look at temps. Now I have to click on an icon to get data. I've uninstalled a few times hoping to get it back.
Helpful Really liked this app until they changed the hourly temps under 'daily' from actual numbers to a graph with lines for temps. You have to guess as you scroll across the day because the vertical axis listing temps moves out of view??? If it works, don't make changes!
Stop messing with the App Just when the app is perfect someone has to touch it. The DAILY tab use to show 10days of weather temps, now it show 3, and now I have to scroll down to find a day. I like the old way, were u can glance at 10 days all at once. I do it when I'm driving,in a meeting were I only have a second to look. Not happy, put it back, stop trying to improve it. The app was fine before... thks
Accurate Accurate for Montreal region! I see and hear strong winds and the app gives me a warning. Generally great, love the warnings. My ONLY ISSUE are the widgets. I'd like to see more customisation available in terms of layout, colour, font, etc. Also be able to have the time on the widget and customise it too like bigger so it's very noticeable.
Suggestion... I love this app. I've been using it for a long time. I do have a suggestion though. I would love to be able to change the color and font of the on going temperature notification. I use a different system font on my phone and it just bugs me that the weather font is not the same as everything else. If you could add those features, this app would be even better!

Thank you for the 5 star rating!
-AccuWeather Team Great app Update: Thank you for improving with the latest version. Update: This used to be an excellent app, after 2 updates, I am deleting it and going to something else. You should have left well enough alone. What a shame. Initial review: I have used this app for quite some time it is great for knowing exactly when is it going to rain if you work outside it is completely necessary
Incredibly accurate, this app is great. The forecast is more accurate than the one that is built in my phone. I also appreciate that it comes with local updates. The timing on the weather is also very good. The only thing I would change is the "looking ahead " monitor it doesn't always update. Still this is the best weather app I have used thus far.
Drains battery According to my battery monitor in the Android Settings, this app is taking up 30% of my battery usage. Battery is the biggest problem leading me to write this review. The core UI is relatively easy to navigate and consume and I like the recent updates to introduce more native features into the app -- i.e. links for deeper info used to kick you out of the app and open the phone's web browser, redirecting you to a webpage. No longer does that and keeps everything contained within the app itself. Great step.

-AccuWeather Team Absurd temperature display Its showing expected temperatures for tomorrow as 73℃ and 51℃ as max and min temperatures respectively. And I double checked if I am mistaken and maybe these are in Fahrenheit. But when converted to Fahrenheit through settings dropdown its showing 163 and 124 as max and min temperatures. Not of any use if it continues to display such ridiculous temperature range.
Don't like new update Don't like the new version of the app, the daily list doesn't show the temps (unlesso you click on it) but is nice to see day and night forecasts on daily list. Preferred the old version much better. Love everything else about the app. But can't quickly check out temps for the next few days.
Unreliable I think as leat 6 times a day it will shut it self down. Its slow glitchy drains the power. This isant just on my phone 3 other family members with different phones have the same problem. Looks good but needs work
Not very accurate AccuWeather tends to be overly optimistic. Rarely does it get as warm as the app says it will. Also once you add a favorite location, there seems to be no way to remove it. And the interface is annoying. My Home button will disappear on certain pages and I have to back out of the page before I can use my Home button.
They don't know what they are doin This app is always wrong, even when my location is on. I loved this app. At first but yall don't know wtf your doing. It's always wrong. Very disappointed because I get excited for the snow or rain, and they are ALWAYS WRONG! You get my hopes up for the weather it's says My area is having, and the rain or snow never comes, cluck yall! !!! U SUCK
Very good. Like it better than the weather channel app. Slightly more accurate. However I dislike the notifications function. I don't need warnings about boats and aircraft. How about an option for avoiding notifications for things that would not effect you. I assure you that I'm don't have to worry about flying conditions everyday. I request an option for dual temperature scales. An option to see both Ferenhigt and Celsius should included.
Hourly updates Totally unhappy with updates. Hourly you used to see temperature right away now you have to click on each hour cause all you see when you open the hourly tab is probability of precipitation. That's not the first thing I want to see. Hide it with all the other information and put the temperature back. It really sucks now.
Uninstalled due to inaccuracy and alerts These guys totally dropped the ball. Constant repeating, un-configurable alerts. Minute data seemingly relating to places a hundred miles away. All of these have rendered it useless. I get the impression it's not the developers fault as the underlying code works well. A sad example of what happens when bean counters attempt to monetise an existing excellent app.
Recent update causes BIG problems with widget and battery Since a recent update, the widget hangs when wi-fi is turned off and 4G on. (I turned wifi off and batterysaver on to prolong battery). The widget fails to update itself on the home screen, still blank even when batterysaver mode is turned off. When the app is in this stalled state, I believe it is also causing Android OS to hog system resources and drain battery at 3x the normal rate. I have had to remove the widget from my home screen to make my phone work again. Real shame, previous version was great.

-AccuWeather Team Have always used this It was pre-installed on my first android and I'm on my third one now, but I put it on my last phone and current one because it's wonderful! And I love that it has an option for dark screen! I wish Samsung, Google, and Microsoft would do that! Bright white screen = major eye strain!
Not accurate I've had this app for years. I don't know why. I put in a location to check where I'll be traveling to, then when I don't want it anymore it keeps coming back and the updated settings make it so hard to edit your locations. It often days it's snowing and other places just say it's cloudy. It's just not reliable anymore. I'm deleting and getting a new app.
Good weather app Being new to Canada and not knowing what the weather will bring the app has been great. The best part for me is that the app can report the temperature in windchill in the notification bar and provides warnings where extreme cold have been noted. For the last two months the app has been very accurate in terms of reporting the weather conditions.
Great & the most precise, but consumes a lot of net data, opened it 3 times in 5 min. and it downloads the same weather info. resulting in excessive 12mb and huge battery drainage. It can be a lot more efficient given its simple and light built...
Love the app, but since upgrading to marshmallow I've noticed it's a CPU and battery hog. I had to uninstall because of this. I'll check back later to see if the issue is resolved. Still seems to be a bit of a battery hog. Plus, I'm not a fan of the new layout. There's another weather app that I've been using that I like better. I'm bummed, because I grew up listening and relying on AccuWeather.
Latest update less informative Heading in the wrong direction. Bring back the ability to see temps and precipitation on the same graph. The new line graphs are unusable because you can't see the y-axis with the values. Also, the new widget crashed continually while trying to set it up. Clicking on the Find Me option in widget setup crashes consistently.

-AccuWeather Team I really dislike the new look/layout I haven't found a way to change this app back to showing only the daytime highs. Having daytime AND nighttime highs is distracting and doesn't give me a feel for what the next few days' highs will be at-a-glance. Also, the graph is nearly useless without labels and just takes up space as it currently is. Developers: I would like to see options to toggle what is viewed on the main screen, and maybe how it is arranged.
Where's the Temps? After the latest update something very important was omitted from the daily page. Temperatures! Plus once you've added a location there is no way to remove it. I travel frequently and add lots of locations. The list becomes unmanageable at some point.
I think the App itself is really nice; it's the prediction accuracy that I am questioning. Today 29th Dec 2016 the precipitation at my location is expected to be less than 7% from 2am to 5am. However the night is very dark and it's raining moderately
Needs fixed since update! Always easy to operate and understand. Much more accurate than other weather apps I have tried. New update 1/2/17 The latest update to the app needs help. When you change from precipitation to temp at the top, it changes the lower half as well. I like to be able to see both temp and precip at the same time....please change this back
