Electronic version of the book "Bhagavad-gītā As It Is", 1972 Macmillan edition, by His Divine Grace A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupāda (Founder-Acharya of International Society for Krishna Consciousness - ISKCON). It supports many languages and has diacritics, listening to shlokas in Sanskrit and standard functions:
- list of "Favorites" shlokas
- list of "Bookmarks" (i.e. named notes on shlokas)
- list of "Tags" (i.e. named groups of Bookmarks)
- multi-word search function for all shlokas
- share a shloka in graphic, audio or text

Language support: Hindi, Bengali (Bangla) English, Ukrainian, Polish, Dutch, Korean, French, German, Danish, Lithuanian, Portuguese, Spanish, Uzbek, Bulgarian, Czech, Estonian, Slovak, Russian, Hungarian.

This program uses various translations (texts) of "Bhagavad-gītā As It Is" book (by His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupāda, Founder-Ācārya of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness), that are freely available on the Internet. These texts are used by the program "as is", i.e. without any changes by the developers. Any part of the used texts can be removed from the program at the request of its copyright holder.

If you find an error in the texts, please directly contact the source that made these texts freely available on the Internet. The developers of the program do not bear any responsibility for the texts themselves or for any consequences of their use.

Ratings and reviews

Just because of you, Prabhu, I am able to read and listen while traveling and from anywhere. 🙏 This app is truly a blessing. I have a small suggestion: • A repeat button for the śloka player • Background play option • Please keep the app UI language in English. Currently, when changing the book language from English to Hindi, the entire UI also changes (e.g,Settings becomes सेटिंग). If possible please consider Your Servant Ankit

Overall a very good app. However, there are errors in Sanskrit at some instances. Also, the search feature is not very useful for Sanskrit words e.g. you cannot find the word 'niragnir' or even निरग्निर in any way. Developer, please share your email so that I can send you errors wherever I find them.

Hare Krishna 🙏 Jai Gaura Nitai. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. So nice to see a Bhagavad Gita as it is, app in the playstore. Some time ago it was really hard to find an app like this in the playstore but now it is so nicely made available.
