The existing cellar is threatened in many ways by water entry. The classic is condensation on the walls due to incorrect ventilation, which promotes mold growth. Leaks from devices or full light shafts can also cause damage.

This system provides architects/planners and renovators with a powerful tool that was specifically developed for existing buildings in order to effectively minimize moisture entry and, ideally, to ensure dry ventilation of the basement. In addition, leaks indoors and light wells outdoors can be specifically monitored for potential water entry.

Mold in the basement is not only unpleasant, but also poses a significant risk to the building structure and health. Typical signs include dark spots on walls or ceilings, a musty smell and discolored or peeling paint and wallpaper. Different types of mold can occur, including red, yellow, white, black or pink varieties. Early identification and professional elimination are crucial to effectively prevent spread and health risks.
