WifiPhotos turns your Android device into a server. It serves a web app directly from your phone. Access it from the browser on your desktop or laptop computer to directly view and manage photos you have shot on your Android device, without ever uploading them to a third party. An alternative to cloud-based services, that keeps your data in your control.
Features:
- Resizes images in high quality locally on the Android device before transmitting over WiFi. This results in a fast and high quality viewing experience. GPU accelerated resizing and libjpeg-turbo based compression.
- Draws 1:1 with device pixels in the browser to take full advantage of for example Apple's Retina displays.
- Keyboard navigation. Arrow keys to navigate, enter key to view full resolution, and delete key to move to trash (cmd-backspace on Mac).
- Option to delete unwanted photos from device (does not delete from cloud services such as Google Photos).
Currently only supports photos (no video support).
Note: Only use this app on your trusted home WiFi, as the connection between your Android device and computer is unencrypted.
