CAFETERIA keeps your dining room at a comfortable volume — automatically.

Loud rooms are bad for business: guests who can't hear each other leave earlier, order less, and don't come back. And the noise feeds itself — as a room gets louder, people raise their voices to be heard, which makes the room louder still (the Lombard effect). Peak-service rooms routinely run 20 dB or more past comfortable conversation, and sustained exposure at those levels is a real hearing risk for the staff who work in them every day. Turning the music down by hand doesn't stick, because nobody is watching the room all night.

CAFETERIA watches the room for you. An Android phone or tablet placed in the dining area measures the room's noise level and continuously adjusts the music your venue is already playing — Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, and other music apps — so conversation stays easy while the atmosphere stays alive.

WORKS WITH YOUR EXISTING SETUP
No new speakers, no rewiring, no acoustic consultants. CAFETERIA adjusts the music apps you already use, through the sound system you already have — and if your room already has acoustic panels or treatment, it complements them. Your staff keeps full control of playback — what plays and when — CAFETERIA only tunes how it sounds in the room.

SEAMLESS MEASUREMENT (OPTIONAL)
Enable Seamless Measurement to let CAFETERIA use a real-time copy of the music as an internal reference (granted through Android's standard consent dialog), so it can tell music from conversation with zero interruption to playback. The reference audio is processed on the device and immediately discarded — never recorded, stored, or transmitted. Without it, CAFETERIA measures during natural pauses and brief, gentle dips in the music.

SIMPLE SETUP
Place the device in the dining area, connect it to your music app, and calibrate by whistling across an ordinary beer or wine bottle — the app reads the bottle's known tone, no measurement equipment needed. A manual calibration option is available for advanced setups.

PRIVACY
• CAFETERIA never records, stores, or transmits audio
• Microphone input becomes numeric sound-level readings on the device
• Anonymized operational data (noise levels, adjustment outcomes) may sync to the cloud to improve the system
• Full privacy policy and terms of service are available in the app

CAFETERIA includes a free trial for new venues; continued use requires a venue subscription.
