Acting Pal is an AI-powered app for actors to self-tape and memorise/learn lines without a scene partner. We’ve developed the most realistic AI voices currently available, responding just like a real reader would.

Built in collaboration with casting directors, Acting Pal ensures your self-tapes are professional and meet industry standards. We’ve also partnered with Sam Stiglitz, one of the industry's top acting coaches and a (former) casting director.

Tired of apps where you have to record lines for every character to self tape or memorise scenes? With Acting Pal you can upload your script (as a pdf) and we’ll take out the relevant lines for you.

SELF TAPE WITHOUT SCENE PARTNER

You can now self tape without a scene partner using the most realistic AI voices currently available. You have over 42 voices to select from with a range of ages and accents. The AI responds just as a real reader would. You have unlimited takes and no time limits.

ACTIVELY RESPONDS:

Our app actively listens to you and recognises when you’ve finished your final line; it responds just as a real reader!

We also have a separate mode that assigns seconds to each line (which can be adjusted), giving you a set time to deliver.

TELEPROMPTER/ EDIT/ ADJUST VOLUME

We’ve integrated a customisable teleprompter feature, editing tools, and volume adjusters to make sure you have everything you might possibly need to nail your next self tape.

MEMORISE/ LEARN LINES

By turning on memorise mode you can transform dialogue such that only the first letter of words are visible when memorising/learning lines; a well known and effective strategy to help you memorise/learn lines.

USE YOUR OWN VOICE/IMPORT AUDIO - LIKE COLD READ

You can record/ import audio for your lines and also cue lines (just like you can on cold read) if you prefer to memorise/self tape with your own voice.

The Acting Pal premium Subscription is valid for a month from the date of purchase. It is not compulsory to purchase the subscription. Once subscribed, the subscription will automatically renew monthly. You can cancel it at least 24 hours before the subscription renewal date to avoid getting charged for the next subscription period. No partial refunds.

Ratings and reviews

Now that the app is updated, it is working great!! This app is different in that you can upload a script and even in the document you have has tilted pages, the app will accept it and it assigns the correct characters to each line. The different AI voice options are great! That is much easier than having to read an entire script into a different app that will only have your own voice. It is very user-friendly. I see that there are some negative reviews, but those are from before the update.

it said there was a 3-day free trial so I tried that. and then was charged immediately. I was like fine and tried to use it-- it acts like I've never purchased it. If I hit restore it says I haven't purchased it and won't let me use it. If I try to do the 3 day free trial again it says I've already purchased it. But then when I try to use it it says I don't have it. When I tried to contact support it took me to WhatsApp and said the link was no longer valid.

Took my payment and the app says I didn't pay. I want refund immediately!
