SELF TAPE WITHOUT SCENE PARTNER

You can now self tape without a scene partner using the most realistic AI voices currently available. You have over 42 voices to select from with a range of ages and accents. The AI responds just as a real reader would. You have unlimited takes and no time limits.

ACTIVELY RESPONDS:

Our app actively listens to you and recognises when you’ve finished your final line; it responds just as a real reader!

We also have a separate mode that assigns seconds to each line (which can be adjusted), giving you a set time to deliver.

TELEPROMPTER/ EDIT/ ADJUST VOLUME

We’ve integrated a customisable teleprompter feature, editing tools, and volume adjusters to make sure you have everything you might possibly need to nail your next self tape.

MEMORISE/ LEARN LINES

By turning on memorise mode you can transform dialogue such that only the first letter of words are visible when memorising/learning lines; a well known and effective strategy to help you memorise/learn lines.

USE YOUR OWN VOICE/IMPORT AUDIO - LIKE COLD READ

You can record/ import audio for your lines and also cue lines (just like you can on cold read) if you prefer to memorise/self tape with your own voice.

The Acting Pal premium Subscription is valid for a month from the date of purchase. It is not compulsory to purchase the subscription. Once subscribed, the subscription will automatically renew monthly. You can cancel it at least 24 hours before the subscription renewal date to avoid getting charged for the next subscription period. No partial refunds.

Ratings and reviews

Now that the app is updated, it is working great!! This app is different in that you can upload a script and even in the document you have has tilted pages, the app will accept it and it assigns the correct characters to each line. The different AI voice options are great! That is much easier than having to read an entire script into a different app that will only have your own voice. It is very user-friendly. I see that there are some negative reviews, but those are from before the update.

I can't believe I paid for this app. I have an android and when I got it a month ago it worked for the most part, and was at least usable to where I was able to do a few auditions with it. now with this latest update, the camera flips every time so that I am upside down and I have to manually fix it every time, it doesn't memorize my settings so I have to reset them with each take (camera, volume, grid, font size etc) the volume flips to mute constantly so I can't hear the reader. awful app

As soon as I open the app it asked me to sign up for a 3 free day trial, thats complete bs because ppl shouldn't have to force to pay just to get access. No thank you boo. Bye.

What’s new

Fixed: self-tapes no longer record upside down, so you don't have to correct every take.

Fixed: the reader's volume no longer drops to silent between takes.

New: Memorise Mode. Turn your lines into first-letter prompts, and choose whether your own line stays hidden while you speak it and whether your scene partner's lines stay visible as cues. Punctuation is kept, so your pauses survive.

New: a warning before recording if the reader is loud enough to be recorded over you.
