The Preservation Society of Newport County, Rhode Island's largest cultural organization, preserves and protects the best of Newport County's architectural heritage. Its 11 historic properties and landscapes - seven of which are National Historic Landmarks - trace America's architectural and social development from the Colonial era through the Gilded Age. In keeping with its mission, the Society strives to offer its members and the public a comprehensive view of each property's architecture, interiors, landscapes and social history.

Beautiful self guided tour and audio. very detailed and easy to follow. Servant and staff perspectives make the tour relatable and realistic to also learn about the wealthy. Love that guests can take photos to remember the tour. Arrive early for less of a crowd.

Miserable UI. Very difficult to transition if you are reading

Make sure to download the free Tour App before you go into the Mansions! It gives so much great info!! Beautiful Mansions! The app helped me understand and appreciate the priceless art work plus pointed out many things in each of the rooms! Kudos to The Preservation Society for offering free parking and the free Tour app!! ( plus all their hard word keeping this part of history alive for us!)
