About this app

Get a health check for yourself and your family (children or elderly relatives). You can check your symptoms online 24/7 and find out possible causes. Whatever's bothering you, from pain, headache, or anxiety to allergy or food intolerance, the free Ada app (symptom checker) could help you find answers from the comfort of your home.

Doctors have trained Ada for years so that you can get an assessment within minutes.

How do free symptom checks work?

You answer simple questions about your health and symptoms.
The AI of the Ada app assesses your answers against its medical dictionary of thousands of disorders and medical conditions.

Absolutely wonderful. The app is very helpful, there's not much it doesn't know, and its word choice and question phrasing is very kind and caring. Excellent improvement suggestion feature. Extremely user-friendly, and easy to navigate. I've put all of my improvement suggestions into the in-app feature, so I'll spare you review readers my thoughts on what I'd add or change (suffice to say Ada has already heard them).

Very impressive app and well made! However, a few grammatical errors can be found (for example, using the wrong form of "there") which makes me trust the app a little less. Another problem is that it likes to make any mental health problems about depression and suicide. I have autism, and I wanted to see if it would pick that up—it didn't. I also have gender dysphoria, and it had no options to specify that most of my depression-related symptoms improved slightly as I started my transition.

This app has gotten progressively better since it launched. It's a pretty easy to use, straightforward way to narrow down possible issues based on symptoms. A lot of the terminology seems based on British English but it's easy enough to know what they mean when it's something different from American medical malady names. The symptom tracker is nice but it's very slow and difficult to use. It only presents a few symptoms at a time, so trying to update a litany of issues at once is a slow slow slow process. In fact, the whole symptom assessment setup is fairly slow. I'd love to trade some fancy animations for faster performance. Another thing I'd like to see is a daily reminder to do the symptom tracker. Maybe if I did an assessment daily I could have some useful information on ongoing issues?
