Understanding Human Nature

Human comes from the Sanskrit word manu, which means intelligent, thinking. In history, homo means human. Humans are also said to be the most perfect creatures because they have:

· Dignity is self-esteem.

· Dignity is the position as a human being.

· Degree is something we need to look for based on position.

Humans also have soul power, namely:

· Creation, namely the creative nature of humans with their creations, always looking for things that are new and that have never existed.

· Taste is the impulse within humans to seek the beauty of taste, therefore with its creative power it forms various kinds of manifestations of service in art.

· Karsa is a natural desire to devote oneself to the highest power. So I want to know where humans come from and where they will return.

Humans were created by God as the most perfect living creatures, surpassing God's other creations. Humans consist of a soul and body equipped with a mind and passions. God instills reason and thoughts in humans so that they can be used for their own good and for the people around them. Humans are given desires to be able to survive on this earth.

Explains that humans as individual creatures, means they have different needs, interests or ideals in certain things. Meanwhile, humans as social creatures have the characteristics of living in groups, having the ability to communicate, have similar feelings, or work together which are summarized in the values of unity, the value of solidarity, the value of togetherness, and the value of organization. Humans as social creatures have biological, protective, socialization/educational, supportive and expressive functions.

It is hoped that these functions will not only become the basis, material for activities and even approaches/processes in designing, operating and evaluating non-formal education programs. Human Nature is as follows:

1. Creatures that have inner energy that can move their lives to fulfill their needs.

2. Individuals who have a rational nature who are responsible for intellectual and social behavior who are able to direct themselves to positive goals are able to organize and control themselves and are able to determine their fate.

3. Creatures that are in the process of developing and continuing to develop are never finished during their lifetime.

4. Individuals who in their lives always involve themselves in efforts to realize themselves, help others and make the world a better place to live in. A potential existence whose realization is unpredictable with unlimited potential

5. God's creature, which means he is a creature that contains the possibility of good and evil.

6. Individuals who are greatly influenced by the environment, especially the social environment, cannot even develop in accordance with their human dignity without living in a social environment.
