The tourist application in sign language aims to include information about the city of Novi Sad and Subotica in audio format, in sign language and in text form adapted for deaf and hard of hearing people, as well as for blind and partially sighted people.
The application is intended for everyone - hearing, deaf and blind people. Deaf people use sign language as their mother tongue and Serbian is their second language. There are deaf and hard of hearing people who do not hear and do not use sign language so they will read the text about the landmarks.
The application is also intended for blind people, where the material has been read and will be available in the application. In this way, the accessibility of content such as service information, accommodation facilities and other catering services and amenities would be ensured, with the help of sign language interpreters.
The application is created for the cities of Novi Sad and Subotica, which would significantly improve the finding of cultural and consumption of tourist and hospitality services for people with disabilities, especially deaf and hard-of-hearing people.
