About this app

Stay close to the coding agents running on your computers. AgentPanes connects directly over SSH so you can find your work, read supported agent conversations, and open a focused terminal from your Android phone or tablet.

FIND AND OPEN YOUR WORK
• Find supported agents in Herdr and tmux across the machines you choose.
• Pin important agents and switch between targets without returning to the main list.
• Read supported conversations or use the native terminal with keyboard controls, text selection, links, scrollback, and saved text sizes.
• Open an ordinary SSH shell when you need one.

YOUR MACHINES, YOUR CONNECTION
• Use password authentication or import an OpenSSH Ed25519 private key, including encrypted key files.
• Verify SSH host fingerprints and control Herdr/tmux access separately for each machine.
• Protect app access with Android device authentication. Saved credentials use Android Keystore-backed encryption.
• Reach hosts by IP address or hostname. Tailscale hosts require your own working Tailscale connection.

OPTIONAL TOOLS
• Dictate English text on device after granting microphone access and downloading the speech model. Review the text before sending it.
• Send selected files and photos to your SSH machine.
• Enable agent activity notifications separately for each machine. This requires a separately approved host helper. Reply previews pass through Cloudflare and Firebase, are not end-to-end encrypted, and may appear on your lock screen. Notifications are off by default.

AgentPanes is free to download. You supply your own SSH-accessible machines, installed agents, and any third-party accounts. Herdr or tmux must be installed on machines where you want to discover their sessions. No AgentPanes account is required.
