About this app

Adless is an IPTV player. It ships with no channels and no catalogue - you add the M3U link or the Xtream Codes login your provider gave you, and it plays them.

WHAT IT DOES

- M3U/M3U8 links, Xtream Codes API logins, or a .m3u file already on the device. The file route is the practical one on a TV, where typing a 120-character URL with a remote is not a real option.
- Live TV channels, films and series (VOD), each in its own tab. Films and series come from Xtream sources; an M3U gives you whatever it declares.
- Large playlists import as a stream, not a single load; a 10,000-channel list opens in seconds instead of dying at Loading.
- A programme guide (EPG) that shows what is on later, not just now, with catch-up where the provider offers it.
- Favourites, your own groups, and hiding for the channels you never watch. Your arrangement survives a playlist refresh - a provider dropping a channel does not wipe the group you put it in.
- A parental PIN. A locked channel or group is out of the list, out of search, out of channel up/down and out of the number keypad, not merely hidden from view.
- Two playback engines. Streams that one refuses, the other usually plays, and the app switches without asking you to know which is which.
- Aspect modes, picture-in-picture, background audio, a sleep timer, and per-channel audio and subtitle tracks.
- The same build runs on Android TV, with D-pad focus throughout.

WHAT IT DOES NOT DO

- No ads. Not on launch, not between channels, not ever.
- No analytics and no tracking. Nothing is sent anywhere unless you press send on a problem report, and that report is shown to you in full first.
- No permission games. Adless never asks to modify system settings; the only runtime permission is the camera, for the QR scanner.
- No content. Adless supplies no channels, no films and no playlists. Everything you watch comes from the source you added, and you need the right to watch it.

BACKUP

Optional, and off unless you turn it on. Your playlists and settings are encrypted on the device with a key derived from a recovery code that never leaves it, so the backup is unreadable to us by construction. Delete it from inside the app whenever you want.

SUBSCRIPTION

Seven days free, then $1 a month or $11 a year. Cancel from Google Play; the app links you straight to the screen rather than making you find it.

What’s new

Picture in picture, and a compact view that browses the channel list, TV guide and catch-up beside the live picture. Select several channels and add them to a group in one go. Refreshing a playlist no longer freezes the app. Movies and Series gained the playlist switcher, a Recently added shelf and series resume. While a stream opens, the screen shows the Adless mark instead of black. Tell us what broke: support@adlessplayer.com
