This journey began with loss — and the realization that many tragedies can be prevented with something as simple as a timely check-in.
My father-in-law fell, broke his hip, and couldn’t reach his phone to call for help. He wasn’t found until two days later. The delay in getting medical attention led to complications that ultimately cost him his life. A few years before, a neighbor had a nearly identical experience.
Then came a stroke scare with my own mother. Thankfully, we live close by and speak often — but even one night alone on the lawn could have ended differently. That’s when we truly understood: even capable, independent people living alone are vulnerable. Not because they’re not loved or cared for, but because life gets busy.
We wanted to check in more — once, twice, even three times a day. But texting or calling that often becomes awkward or simply unmanageable, especially when balancing work, parenting, and everyday responsibilities. It’s not about a lack of love; it’s the reality of the modern world.
We built this app to solve that. To make check-ins automatic, thoughtful, and seamless — so that the people we love feel safe and connected, and we all have peace of mind.
