About this app
Some conversations don't need to last forever. In KOR, every chat has a lifetime: when time runs out, the chat burns out and KOR can't bring it back.
YOUR NUMBER IS OPTIONAL
KOR needs no account and no SIM. Pick a nickname; your friend finds you by typing it exactly. If you like, add your number too, and friends who have it saved can find you. No codes, no verification.
FIND FRIENDS FROM YOUR CONTACTS
See which of your contacts use KOR with one tap, each under the name you saved. Numbers are only checked for a match and aren't kept; names never leave your phone.
NOBODY CAN WRITE UNTIL YOU ACCEPT
You decide whether to accept a request. If you decline, the other person isn't notified; you can also block them.
EVERY CHAT HAS A TIME LIMIT
You choose the length when you open a new chat. The timer starts when the first message reaches KOR; after that it can't be changed or extended. The time left is always visible in the list and inside the chat.
24 HOURS FREE, ALWAYS
The app, messaging and 24-hour chats are free. There is no trial, no message quota and no payment to get started. Shorter lengths (12, 6, 3 and 1 hour) will come later as Premium.
END-TO-END ENCRYPTED
Messages are encrypted on your device and can be opened only on the two devices in the chat. The server only carries encrypted data.
WHEN TIME RUNS OUT, IT BURNS OUT
When the time is up, the chat records and the content key on this device are destroyed, and the chat record on the server is deleted. KOR keeps no chat history, backups or exports; the company can't bring a finished chat back either.
PRIVATE IN PLAIN SIGHT
Your KOR identity is never shown or shared on any screen; friends see your nickname or the name they saved for you. Message previews are never shown, and the app's screen can't be captured.
YOUR IDENTITY, IN YOUR HANDS
Your identity stays the same until you destroy it or uninstall the app. You can destroy it at any time; a new installation gets a new, empty identity.
How to start:
1. Install KOR. Your identity is ready.
2. Pick a nickname; type your friend's nickname or match your contacts, and send a request.
3. Once they accept, open a 24-hour chat and write.
