About this app

This app is for travellers across many countries who want to see their routes on an animated 3D map. It works just as well with GPS photos as with scanned slides or photos with no coordinates, and it also serves to plan future trips.
How it works:
- You use the built-in search to place each stop of your trip on the 3D map.
- You attach a photo to that stop (the image does not need GPS metadata).
- The app generates an animation that plays back the route from point to point.
- You can export that animation as a video file to share it.
File handling and Wi-Fi connection
The app uses a single browser to reach two sources of data:
- Local storage (Phone): It scans your memory and shows the directories that contain images, along with their parent folders so you can navigate to them. You choose which folders to use.
- Remote storage (PC): It connects over your local Wi-Fi network to the shared folders on your computer.
Technical note: When reaching the PC, the app only transfers and stores lightweight thumbnails on the phone. The original files are not copied. Once the thumbnails are cached, the app works without keeping the connection to the computer.
Privacy and development
A tool originally built for personal use. It runs on its own: no user accounts, no ads, and your trips and your photos stay on the phone.
