Derived from extensive testing by Hornady Manufacturing Company, the Hornady Security app allows users to monitor the lock and unlock status of their RAPiD® Safe Ready Vault. This app utilizes Bluetooth technology as well as WiFi and offers a detailed activity log for users to reference at any time to evaluate the date and time their safe was locked or unlocked.

Terrible APP keeps failing safe set up. when connecting to wifi it keeps stalling on the "setting up" screen then my safe dissappears from the list and the safe has to be reset to find it again. also its absolutely ridiculous that it can't run the wifi off just 4 AA batteries and needs AC power. deadbolts for doors can run off AA batteries AND lock and unlock a deadbolt. somehow hornady needs AC power just to send an alert saying the safe is unlocked

WiFi is only compatible with 2.4GHz networks! App and WiFi worked fine for me... - Make sure you follow the password requirements when creating your account - When connecting to a WiFi network, you have to select the SSID of the 2.4GHz band - The chipset is not compatible with the newer 5GHz networks. *This ia a hardware limitation, don't expect any software updates to change the limitation. Would be nice if there was a way to unlock from your phone... using the same pin code for the safe

3/25 still no answer from hornody I think they've shut down their Wi-Fi capability and haven't told anyone and that's full advertising Do not buy their products Update 11/23 no help from tech support, issue not solved.
